Football Whisperer's Week 2 Top 25
  1. Texas: That stirring comeback win last night in Austin was nothing short of incredible.

  2. LSU: The Tigers started sluggish but finished strong ... and they wore the purple jerseys to boot.

  3. Miami: The Canes put up 77 on FAMU ... and looked bored doing it.

  4. Notre Dame: The Irish appear to have the goods, but they still need to find a run game.

  5. Indiana: Defending national champs and the best team in the Big Ten.

  6. Georgia: The Bulldogs are still the biggest bullies and the most physical bunch in the nation.

  7. Ole Miss: They welcome Lane back to Oxford this weekend and we'll learn a lot about both teams.

  8. Texas Tech: The Red Raiders face the Houston Cougars this week ... should be spicy.

  9. Ohio State: Totally went flat during that 4th quarter in Austin.

  10. Texas A&M: Easy win over a decent Arizona State team leaves Aggie fans hopeful.

  11. Alabama: Keelon Russell showed a lot of poise in Lexington and so did the Tide.

  12. Michigan: Bryce and the Wolverines get major props for upsetting OU.

  13. USC: The Garry Patterson Effect will define the Trojans season.

  14. Oregon: The Ducks ought to be ashamed of the way their season started.

  15. SMU: The Mustangs travel to Louisville this week for a showdown with the Cardinals.

  16. BYU: Keep your eyes on the kids from Provo because this could be their year.

  17. Houston: Not to be outdone by Miami, Houston also put up 77 this week.

  18. Oklahoma: Looked shaky all afternoon long in Ann Arbor.

  19. Tennessee: Looked good taking Georgia Tech down in the ATL.

  20. Iowa: The Hawkeyes squeaked by the Cyclones yesterday, no small task in a rivalry like that one.

  21. Kansas State: Wildcats have really taken to the ways of former star QB Collin Klein.

  22. Penn State: Matt Campbell is chomping at the bit to get Big Ten play going.

  23. Virginia Tech: James Franklin, the former Penn State coach, is chomping at the bit to get ACC play going.

  24. Virginia: The Cavaliers and Pribula put 59 on Michael Vick and Norfolk State.

  25. Washington: Barely escaped Utah State and they must get it together before Big Ten play.
