The more I think about it, the more I'm beginning to believe in the Houston Cougars. They've got the talent to make a serious run at the playoffs this year and sitting in that fertile Houston recruiting ground, they could be making noise for years to come.

That BYU-Notre Dame game in mid-October out in Provo is going to be a beast for both teams. BYU should be in the thick of the Big XII race and Notre Dame will be walking the independent tightrope ... should be fun!

Watching the practice tapes and Caleb Downs appears to be everything he was advertised to be and just what the Cowboy defense needed.

Romeo Dobbs going to New England was one of the sneaky big offseason moves. He gives the young Patriot QB another weapon to work with, teaming with Brown on the outside as the dynasty work continues.

Sanders should be the move in CLE and I'm hearing good things about his practice performance, but the fact that he hasn't separated from Watson makes me wonder if there's some trepidation on the part of that new CLE staff.
