The Whisperer Remembers ... Everson Walls.
Often Overlooked, Never Outplayed
Dallas is a city with an eclectic mix of suburbs. There’s DeSoto, Duncanville, Plano, Grand Prairie, Arlington, and Irving to name a few … and there’s also Richardson. All with good parts, all with bad parts, and this guy who once called Richardson home, was one of the best parts. When he graduated from Richardson Berkner High School, there were no lines of top tier programs and high-profile coaches waiting at his doorstep … so he stepped out on faith and walked on at Grambling State.
He arrived with a point to make and something to prove, to show the world that he was well worth the looks he never received when his high school career ended. The kid never got the looks, but when he arrived in the Bayou, he never looked back. No, he never looked back, choosing instead to move forward and as he did his legend grew with each passing game.
The kid from Dallas, make that Richardson won the hearts and minds of coaches and fans alike and by the time his time at Grambling had come to an end, no one was doubting him. He had nothing left to prove … he had shown the world. Now they all knew what he always knew … that he was indeed a baller.
Whisperer Nation, today, believe in yourself no matter what others may think. And when you get down, don’t look back, keep moving forward in the spirit of former Grambling State defensive back extraordinaire … Mr. Everson Walls.

One voice. No filler. The names stay off the masthead — the work doesn't need them.
