The University of Georgia is synonymous with great running backs. There’s Tim Worley the monster back who terrorized defenses during the late 80’s, following in the footsteps of the man who all others were judged by … the great Herschel Walker. From Sterling Boyd to Garrison Hearst, Lars Tate, Knowshon Moreno … the list goes on and on. But no list of Georgia runners is complete without this man … the man with the sweetest feet in Bulldog backfield history.

A big back he originally thought his future was at SMU, but once sanctions, scandals, and penalties started landing on desks, he figured he might want to look elsewhere. There was Austin … College Station … Waco … Fayetteville … the places where the football powerhouses that comprised the now defunct Southwest Conference called home. But when the time came to choose, he looked south …

He came to Athens by way of Houston; Kashmere High School to be exact as the Bulldogs pulled off quite the coup coming into the Lone Star State and nabbing one of the crown jewels of the 1987 recruiting class. When he arrived on campus he picked up in Georgia where he left off in Texas … juking … slashing … cutting, and when those things weren’t options, he’d run through or past a defender; their choice.
