Based on what I saw today the Browns should go ahead and give that starting job to Shedeur. He seems mature, has a great handle on the offense, and the fans and the city are all behind him, believing he's the guy. Don't make this any harder than it has to be CLE ... your guy is in the building.

Speaking of starters, Alabama has named Keelon Russell, the RS freshman from Duncanville, Texas as their starting QB. The kid has the goods, and it'll be interesting to see if he has the goods to bring Alabama back to some semblance of their former glory.

Speaking of Duncanville, former Panthers Collin Simmons is the lead linebacker at Texas, Dakorien Moore is WR1 at Oregon, Caden Durham is vying for the top running back position at LSU ... and now Russell is named QB1 at Alabama ... yeah, Texas football is different.

Looking forward to seeing Evan Stewart take the field again up in Eugene for the Ducks. Stewart transferred from Texas A&M a couple of years back is looking to get what once looked like a big-time career back on track. I think he still has it in him so here's hoping he proves me right.

The Big XII is probably kicking themselves for not securing SMU as a member once the conference reorganized following the departure of Texas and OU to the SEC. Dallas is a prime market and having it in the fold would've done wonders for recruiting, strategic alliances, and viewership.

After watching the Deshaun Watson press conference following the loss to BUFF, the best thing for him might be to find a way to get out of CLE. The fans aren't supporting him and his on the field play doesn't point to a guy who should be a starter.

The LAR look like they're ready to go and today, they unleashed Stetson Bennet, their third-string quarterback. All he did was light NO up to the tune of 181 yards passing in route to a 34-0 rout.
