I'm totally onboard with the Big Ten taking a stand and banning NFL players from returning to college, regardless of whether or not they still have eligibility. It's simply unfathomable that players would take that route, but money will make you do some strange things.

A lot of talk in the SEC about Keelon Russell and Brandon Faizon and I'm looking forward to seeing them. But please, please keep your eyes open for Vanderbilt 5-star freshman Jared Curtis. He's a gamer and while he won't get the starting nod in Nashville ... something tells me he'll be a huge part of their success.

The DALL schedule is a beast, but I think they're up for the challenge and it's not even about the talent on the field, it's the infrastructure off the field. Crazy as it may sound, the DALL front office finally seems to have matured.

Kayshon Boutte is on his way to HOU by way of NE in a move where everybody wins. The Texans get a WR presence to take the place of the injured Higgins; the Patriots won't have to worry about paying Boutte next year as his rookie deal ends at the conclusion of the season.

I'm wondering if the signing of Von Miller will cause DALL to cut a young pass rusher who may have factored into their long-term. Miller is a talent but not nearly what he used to be. Here's hoping that aforementioned maturity in the front office comes into play.

After seeing his performance this past week against the Ravens where he missed open targets, threw high, and looked rattled, I'm convinced more than ever that an immediate change of scenery is in order for JJ McCarthy. Trade him. He'll get you a 5th ... maybe a 4th.

Thinking OBJ might be on his last leg in NYG. Similar to what I say about DALL, I hope the Giants don't waste a roster spot chasing past glory instead of securing a player who could factor into their future success.

Kirk Cousins might be the smartest player in NFL history, at least from a financial perspective. The guy has racked up hundreds of millions of dollars just by playing the system, accepting franchise tags, laying low, and going with the flow. A master class indeed.

The NFC East will be a dog fight per usual. I'm not sure who comes out on top ... but I'm pretty sure WSH will be at the bottom. Even with the change in ownership, that franchise still doesn't seem to get it.
