He was a big receiver before most receivers ever thought of being … big. Standing a shade under 6’4 but possessing the skill, know how, and wiggle of men much smaller, he dominated the NFC East and foes from any other division that dared come his way. A second-round pick out of Memphis, he arrived in the Big Apple and announced himself as the next Big Thing and when he lined up on Sunday, no one, no corner, linebacker, or safety could argue.

No fear entered his orbit, especially when the ball was in the air. It belonged to him and his singular focus was on catching and making a play after the ball was secured in his sure hands. Contact wasn’t his enemy … it was his friend, his confidant, his kindred spirit and whereas others in his position tip-toed away or chose the safety of the sideline, he embraced the rugged, brutal nature of the sport understanding that if he got, he’d give just as good if not better.

Whisperer Nation, he made it there, made it big I might add and since he did, I’m telling you that we can make it anywhere.
